Filing Requirements: Sales Tax returns are required to be filed electronically.

What Will You Need: From the INtax Welcome page, select “Sign Up for INtax”. Follow the directions on each page and submit the registration.

When completing the registration process, you will need to have either a:

  • Federal employer identification number (FEIN or FID)
  • Indiana taxpayer identification number (TID)

In addition to the business identification number, you also will be required to have one of the following:

  • Total amount due on a recently filed return
  • Amount of a recently submitted payment
  • Amount of a recently claimed refund
  • Activation code provided by the Department
